Fall 取向: Kick off the start of your school year!
We can’t wait to welcome you to 皇冠投注网 and kick off your school year. Please read through all of the 取向 website as it contains pertinent information about action steps you need to take to prepare for 取向—like completing required online modules; a brief overview of the 取向时间表; and what to expect while attending 取向.
所有新生, 包括一年级, 转移, and commuter students are required to take part in 取向 from Saturday, 8月24-Tuesday, 8月27日, 2024. We’re currently preparing for 2024 Fall 取向, 但在过去, all students have been invited to take part in a variety of academic and community-based experiences as well as social activities during the week. We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to meet your classmates and learn more about 皇冠投注.
As a part of their 取向 experience, all incoming students will be placed into 取向 groups which will be mentored by a returning 皇冠投注 student called a Student 取向 Guide (SOG).
Activities will occur throughout the day starting as early as 9:00 AM ET and extending through late-night social programming on Saturday, 8月24-Tuesday, 8月27日. 的 取向时间表 will be updated regularly as we near 取向. Additional educational and social programming occurs throughout the first week of classes and in Weeks of Welcome for the first six weeks of the academic semester.

Prior to a student’s orientation period, all new students are required to complete a series of online 取向 modules including the New Student 取向 Course, the “U Got This!” course, and the AlcoholEdu Course. All courses will be available online via Canvas and students will be notified via their 皇冠投注 email when they can access the courses in late summer. More information about each course, including completion deadlines, can be found 在这里.
所有一年级, 转移, and commuter students will check-in on campus, 面对面, to receive their new 皇冠投注 student ID, their 取向 shirt and, if they are residential students, their key to their Residence Hall room, on Saturday, 8月24日, 2024.
Students will be assigned a check-in and move-in time between 8:00 AM–4:30 PM ET on Saturday, 8月24日, 2024. Students will be notified of their assigned time via email in mid-July. If students are unable to arrive for their assigned move-in time prior to 4:30 PM, they will be unable to utilize the moving company to unload their belongings.
Additional information about the check-in process for 取向 and move-in will be shared in future communications.
Commuter students are required to attend a meeting on Saturday, 8月24日 from 8:30-10:30 PM in the Pharmacy Building, Room 150. 家庭 are welcome to attend. New commuter students will pick up their 取向 T-shirt (if not previously acquired on Saturday, 8月24日 during the check-in process) and meet with campus representatives as well as returning commuter students. This meeting is required for commuter students.
We invite families to participate in a number of special programming opportunities on Saturday, 八月二十四日及星期日, 8月25日, 包括资源展, 家庭 Dessert Reception, Religious and spiritual services on campus, and Convocation and Convocation Reception. 的 Convocation program is the official welcome and start to 皇冠投注网’s academic year. (This program will also be live-streamed for any families who are unable to attend in person.)
家庭 will be asked to say goodbye to their students by 1:30 PM ET on Sunday, 8月25日, when students will be transitioning into programming with their Student 取向 Groups.
